Mexican Supercar: The Inferno Exotic Car

The Inferno Exotic Car; the first thought that comes to mind is, what? The second thought, is this a video game? The third thought is a wholehearted appreciation for a company who boldly made all their hopes and dreams for their car evident by throwing them into the name.

The Inferno Exotic Car

The design of this car—that looks decidedly otherworldly, a bit menacing and pretty much the same as it did when a preview was revealed by the company in 2014 except for the red accents—can be attributed to Antonio Ferrarioli who we know has been associated with works such as the Lamborghini Asterion, Veneno Coupe and many others.

The makers of the Inferno Exotic car are not only planning to set itself apart by its exclusive design, but also by the use of their patented metal foam alloy comprising zinc, silver and aluminium. This metal foam, of which they are unashamedly proud, boasts characteristics that if they pan out would be a tremendous achievement on their part. Their exclusive material is superplastic; will improve the security of the driver as a result of its ability to decrease and absorb impact in the event of a crash; and since it is significantly lighter will, in addition to aiding the increase of horsepower and reduction of gas consumption, have a better driving response.

Increased horsepower is generally all one needs to hear to be sufficiently excited about a concept hyper car, and the Inferno’s claims definitely raises more than a few eyebrows. “With plans to change the future,” the Inferno claims 1400-hp and 670 pounds-feet of torque (we hope, the unit was oddly unspecified), that will push this Exotic Car to 60-mph in less than 3 seconds and achieve top speeds of 245-mph all on a twin-turbo V8. Though the numbers excite, this from a very vague team of “entrepreneurs, scientists, engineers as well as national and international brands in Mexico, Italy and the United States,” does not inspire confidence in the outcome.

With production slated to start next year, price range for this car unknown and the company setting its sights on Italy for production, there have already been whispers of a possible threat to the upcoming Bugatti Chiron. Don’t put your money on it. However, we can safely say that if the marketing strategy for the Inferno Exotic Car backed by LTM Hot Spot was to make lots of noise, then congratulations, they have achieved their goal and caught our attention. The ball is now in their court.
