Porsche and motorsports may go hand-in-hand, but motorsports do not sell cars like they used to. At the Paris Motor Show, the highlight of the Porsche press conference was the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid. It will make the automaker oodles of money. But that wasn’t the only new thing Porsche brought to the show—there was also a new 911 GT3 Cup race car. That is what we were excited about.

It looks great and makes enough power to tickle our insides. The 4.0-liter flat-six engine produces 485 horsepower, which is 25 more horsepower than it did before. Aerodynamics have been upgraded to provide more downforce, which is helped further by the 72-inch wide rear wing. It looks massive and perfect. The 18-inch wheels come with center locks. The car weighs 2,646 pounds and features a larger roof rescue hatch.

If you want to get your hands on one, it will set you back about $213,000 depending on exchange rates. The car will see competition in 2017 when it races in the Porsche Mobile 1 Cup German racing series. It will also compete in North American the same year. In 2018, the automaker will expand the car’s availability to more racing series. Color us excited.
