RevoZport Endows Tesla Model S With Aggressive Look

RevoZport Tesla Model S

The Tesla Model S is a lot of things. For one, it doesn’t use any fuel, which makes it good for the environment. Its electric powertrain also makes it blisteringly quick with its ability to get to 60 mph in approximately 2.8 seconds in Ludicrous mode. Despite all of the Model S’ upsides, the electric sedan does have one major drawback – its mundane styling.

At a FIA Formula E Championship race last year in Hong Kong, RevoZport unveiled a Model S safety car that actually had the looks to match its supercar-besting performance. The all-electric vehicle was fitted with the aftermarket company’s R-Zentric aerokit. The comprehensive aerokit was the first tuning package from the Hong-Kong based company for Tesla’s electric vehicles and it’s a looker.

The kit widens the track of the Model S P90D by approximately 40 millimeters, allowing owners to tick an option that adds wider tires. The option adds the ability to fit the Model S with new 255-millimeter wide tires at the front and 295-millimeter wide rubber at the back.

In addition to widening the already vast Model S, the R-Zentric aerokit adds items RevoZport claims help the electric vehicle’s performance. The performance components include side skirts, fender flares, a trunk spoiler, and a front splitter, which all utilize carbon composite.

The exterior of the electric car isn’t the only thing that has been upgraded as the aftermarket company added a rear entertainment console for passengers that includes an iPad mini.

While the highly-customized Model S by RevoZport was first used as a safety car for one race in the FIA Formula E Racing Championship series, it’s unlikely that the vehicle will be used for other races. Since the all-electric racing series’ inception in 2014, the BMW i8 sports car has been used as the safety car.

As far as electric cars go, this wide-body Model S looks incredible. And if more electric vehicles looked like this from the factory, more enthusiasts would look forward to saving the planet. Unfortunately, the aftermarket kit isn’t exactly cheap. The spoiler, for instance, costs $765, while the complete aerokit carries a price tag of $5,690. Opting for the fancy set of Klassen 22-inch forged wheels will set a buyer back by $11,000.

Turning a Model S into a sportier, more aggressive vehicle, then, isn’t cheap, but is well worth it.
