The 2019 Porsche 911 GT3 RS Is a True Race Car
Porsche has always been known for producing great road vehicles. However, many Porches lag behind Lamborghinis, Ferraris, and other full-blood hypercars. Not the 2019 911 GT3 RS, however. The 2019 911 GT3 RS is race-bred machine that will be able to keep up with the fastest and best hypercars out there.
The 2019 911 GT3 RS is clearly not your normal Porsche. Aggressive aerodynamics and a large fin result in a more muscular, athletic design than your typical Porsche. Of course, the Gt3 RS is still distinctly a Porsche and you won’t have to glance at the badge to know who put it together.
Much of the bodywork, including the fenders and front trunk lid, is made of carbon fiber. The rear and front facades are crafted out of polyurethane, while the roof is made out of a lightweight but strong magnesium. However, the most important upgrade might be the guts underneath the beautiful exterior. The chassis, wheels, rotors and other less visible components have been designed to reduce weight without sacrificing performance.
Of course, we can’t forget the drivetrain. The 2019 911 GT3 RS features the most powerful naturally aspirated engine to ever be found in a 911. The flat-six 4.0 liter products 520 horsepower and 346 ib-ft of torque. This allows the 2019 911 GT3 RS to hit 60 in just 3 seconds.
The 2019 911 GT3 RS might be the best 911 ever produced. Given the lineage of this car line, that’s saying a lot. However, with a starting price of $187,500 you’re going to have to shell out a lot to get this Porsche.
