Pininfarina Unveils Bruce Wayne-Inspired Hypercars

Pininfarina Batman EV

Pininfarina, the famed Italian coachbuilder, has unveiled a stunning new collection of electric hypercars that draw inspiration from none other than Bruce Wayne, the alter ego of DC’s iconic Batman. In collaboration with Warner Bros.’ luxury brand Wayne Enterprises, Pininfarina has released four exclusive electric vehicles, named the “Gotham” and “Dark Knight” variants of the B95 and the Battista models.

The collaboration represents a unique blend of high-end automotive design and popular culture, mirroring Bruce Wayne’s luxurious and enigmatic character traits. The vehicles are designed with a nod to the aesthetics associated with Bruce Wayne’s dual life as a suave billionaire and a vigilante hero. Dave Amantea, Pininfarina’s chief design officer, expressed excitement over the project, highlighting the creative liberty the team enjoyed in crafting vehicles fit for such a legendary figure.

Both models, the roofless Barchetta 95 (B95) and the Battista hyper GT, have been developed into two limited edition versions. The “Gotham” variants display sophisticated tan leather interiors paired with Argento Vittorio grey exteriors, reflecting Wayne’s refined taste. On the other hand, the “Dark Knight” editions embrace a darker aesthetic with black Alcantara and leather interiors, accented by Nero Profondo glossy black exteriors, hinting at Wayne’s darker, crime-fighting persona.

Aesthetic enhancements include new air inlets at the front, carbon wings at the rear, and shark fins along the tailgate of the Battistas. Both versions also boast advanced features like curved glass roofs and sophisticated door designs, enhancing their sleek, futuristic look.

Despite the external modifications, the powertrains of the B95 and Battista remain unchanged. Each vehicle is powered by a 120 kWh lithium-ion battery and equipped with four electric motors, delivering a staggering total output of up to 1,900 horsepower. This allows them to accelerate from zero to 62 mph in under two seconds, rivaling the performance of current Formula 1 cars and making them apt for the high-speed pursuits one might associate with Gotham’s own superhero.

Adding to the allure, each model features Wayne Enterprises logos and unique aluminum chassis and door plates. Perhaps the most intriguing feature is the new voice command system inspired by Alfred Pennyworth, Bruce Wayne’s loyal butler, enhancing the immersive experience of the car.

These hypercars are not only a testament to cutting-edge technology and design but also a collector’s dream, given their exclusive availability and connection to the Batman lore. Priced at €3.4 million for the Battistas and €4.9 million for the B95s, they will be showcased at an invite-only event in New York City, offering a rare glimpse into the world of luxury, performance, and cinematic history combined.
