Karma Is Set To Reveal All-Electric Revero GTE
After 5 years of developing and improving hybrid powertrain technology, Karma Automotive is finally ready reveal its first fully electric car; the Revero GTE. Before you get too excited, this is a soft release as the full debut isn’t expected for another year. According to a recent press release, Karma has mentioned the possibility of a 400 mile range, which will certainly give Tesla a run for it’s money.
The Revero GTE is set to debut next spring and will compete with Tesla Model S Performance and Porsche Taycan. Certainly the design does not look that different from the previous three Reveros, but that can not be said for what’s under the hood. The new electric sports car is built on the E Flex platform and will feature new battery technology.
Karma expects the base GTE’s 75 kW battery to get 200 miles on a charge, while the higher end model and its 100 kW battery will come in closer to 300. Down the road, the brand will introduce an extended range model with a range of 400 miles. Karma mentions DC fast-charging will get the battery up to 80 percent in under 30 minutes. For those wondering about acceleration, the Revero GTE will go from 0-60 mph in just 3.9 seconds.
