As expected in any prestigious concours, the Las Vegas event showcased an impressive array of Ferraris gracing the lawn. Choosing a favorite among them is always a challenge, but the short-wheelbase Ferrari 250, a distinguished winner of the Coppa d’Oro race at Monza in 1960, stood out distinctly. This exceptional vehicle boasts a vivid Rosso Corsa exterior adorned with white racing numbers, coupled with a recently rebuilt engine. However, the most admirable feature of this classic car is its active use. Both the owner and his son frequently drive it, with the latter even using it to learn manual transmission, embodying a true passion for automotive heritage.
1961 Mercedes-Benz 300SL

Over the past century, Mercedes has unveiled numerous stunning vehicles, but the 300SL remains in a league of its own. Originating as a road adaptation of the W194 race car, it was initially launched as a gullwing coupé and subsequently as a roadster. This model stands as a hallmark of the Mercedes brand, seamlessly blending elegance with performance in a way that few cars have ever achieved. A notable example from Phillip Sarofim’s collection, finished in a refined metallic green with a matching green interior, exemplifies this blend. Remarkably, it still retains its prowess, capable of reaching a top speed of 163 mph.
