Aston Martin DBR22 Speedster Revealed

Aston Martin DBR22 Speedster

Want a classic Aston Martin for sale but can’t find one? You might enjoy the modern Aston Martin’s DBR22 as it pays homage to one of the greatest supercars of all time, the famous DBR1, which won a Le Mans race in 1959. Unfortunately, however, the DBR22 is also going to be hard to get your hands on as only a few models will be made for collectors as part of Aston Martin’s bespoke division.

Aston Martin’s bespoke division is just 10 years old and offers customers custom-built and furnished vehicles. Generally speaking, you have to pay a hefty premium to order a bespoke supercar. Then again, if you’re buying hypercars, there’s a good chance you have some money to spare.

Aston Martin DBR22 Speedster Review

Engine-wise, the DBR22 is taking a conservative approach, using the 5.2 liter V12 engine that’s made rounds in other Aston Martin supercars over the past few years. This engine should allow the car to hit nearly 200 miles per hour and sixty mph in about 3.4 seconds

The DBR22 will feature an open cockpit made for two and there’s no option for adding a roof. The interior design looks smart and classy if a bit conservative and retro. Just make sure you’re not driving if there’s a risk of rain as you and the interior will get soaked.

The DBR22’s price tag has not been released yet. Industry insiders are projecting a seven-figure price tag, though. Given how rare the DBR22 will be, it may turn out to be worth much more in the long run.
