Aston Martin Sends V12 Vantage Off On a High Mark

Aston Martin V12 Vantage

The V12 Vantage is fast approaching what looks like a permanent retirement. That said, while the V12 Vantage’s days are numbered, this hot supercar is definitely going out with a  bang. The last edition of this supercar is slotted to be the most powerful Vantage yet and should have this Aston Martin reaching speeds in excess of 200 miles per hour.

Aston Martin is perhaps most famous for being fictional secret agent James Bond’s supercar brand of choice. The movie-edition Aston Martins often come equipped with rocket launchers, rockets, and various other spy world goodies. In real life, Aston Martin’s are a bit more tame but still feature a wild side worthy of the track.

The last V12 Vantage’s will come equipped with a 5.2 liter V-12 engine, as per the name badge. This engine will crank out 690 horsepower and 555 feet pounds of torque and should allow the Vantage to hit 60 in under 3.5 seconds.

Outside the engine bay, other components have been modified as well. New roll bars will keep drivers safer and stiffer shocks allow for a more athletic driving experience. Weighing in at under 4,000 pounds, the V12 Vantage isn’t precisely light but it’s not exactly heavy either.

Like many other car brands, Aston Martin is transitioning towards electric vehicles. In the coming decades, hypercar enthusiasts likely won’t be seeing as many V12 or even V8 models as in the past. This could make cars like this Aston Martin for sale all the more rare and desirable in the long run as sports car collectors are always looking for the next investment.
