Gunther Werks to Build Custom 993-Generation Porsche Speedsters

Gunther Werks is working on some amazing customized 993-generation Porsche 911 supercars that are already drumming up a lot of interest. You can think of Gunther Werks’ customized 993’s as a modern take on a classic, and exceptionally rare Porsche 911 for sale. And the new takes will be just as rare. As of right now, only 25 of these 993-generation Porsches are slatted for production and they’re already expected to sell out.

The customized cars are actually based on the Porsche 911. Gunther Werks is putting a stylized hard cover over the rear, where you’d normally find seats. The front bumper is re-designed as well, and there are new rear lights and a deck lid with a built-in spoiler.

Gunther Werks had to chop off the tops of the cars. However, the company was able to retain rigidity by using bracing underneath of the body. Roll hoops were also added over the seats to protect people should a roll over accident occur.

The interior is going to enjoy a lot of customization as well, with carbon fiber being a material of choice. The floors, dashboard, and seat shells will all feature carbon fiber, adding strength while keeping weight low. Gunther Werks is also moving the pedals to add a more ergonomic experience, something drivers will appreciate.

On top of all the above, those who order a Gunther Werks 993-generation Porsche will also get to work alongside the company’s design department to craft a truly unique car suited for their tastes.

Price hasn’t been announced, but Gunther Werks previously built and sold a 400R car that sold for $525,000 per unit. This Porsche for sale is expected to sport a similar price tag.
