Jannarelly Design-1 Supercar

The company was small but made supercar history at the Qatar International Motor Show in January 2013 when they unveiled the Lykan HyperSport prototype destined to become one of the most expensive cars ever produced. The Lykan HyperSport was so enthusiastically received that in April of that year Universal Studio ordered ten of them to serve as stunt cars in the film Furious 7. While they had the Lykan HyperSport body, they did not include the guts like a carbon fiber chassis or other genuine supercar touches.

W Motors put the Lykan HyperSport on sale in December of 2014. They produced seven units with a $3.4 million price tag. Although the cars were built in Torino, Italy W Motors kept the Mideast flavor by moving their operations to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, one of the world’s greatest hotspots of supercar enthusiasts.

Jannarelly Concept Car

The Lykan HyperSport was designed by the talented Anthony Jannarelly He decided the time was right to branch out on his own and along with Frederic Juillot started Jannarelly Automotive also now based in Dubai. While someone with Jannarelly’s talent and solid financial backing could go in the direction of empire builder and try to rise quickly to the top, his ambitions are more focused on developing high-quality automotive masterpieces, initially in limited quantities. This is certainly a plan for eventual success.

While Jannarelly designed and created one of the world’s most expensive cars, his new Design-1 prototype to be shown next month with be sold for a modest $55,000.

The Design-1 is breathtaking. Its shape is reminiscent of roadsters of the 1950’s and 1960’s. Jannarelly is building the Design-1 as a lightweight track car. The only similarity with time gone by roadsters is the tribute to them in body design.

Jannarelly Design-1 Review

The Design-1 goes super lightweight with a tubular steel chassis and structural elements of the body design manufactured from aluminum. Fiberglass and carbon fiber are being used in other areas to make sure the car keeps its featherweight like dynamics.

The power plant will come from a 3.5 liter, 300 horsepower V-6 Nissan created engine. Jannarelly will also be open to other upgrades and engine options in the future. He is looking for the Nissan engine to deliver 0-60mph in under 4.0 seconds. The Design-1 will achieve a top speed of 135mph.

Production of the Design-1 will take place in Dubai. Initially, Anthony Jannarelly will build around 30. These hand built speedsters will ramp up to around 200 cars a year after the first batch is sold.

Jannarelly Automotive eventually wants to bring the Design-1 to the United States and Europe.

I predict huge success!
