Lexus UX Concept to Drop in Paris—And Drop Jaws

Lexus UX Concept

The Paris Motor Show is less than a month away, so it should come as no surprise that automakers across the board are preparing their reveals and concepts with a slow trickle of teaser images. Some reveal more than others—such as the Lexus UX concept teaser that just dropped. It leaves little to the imagination.

All we get from Lexus though is a rear three-quarter shot of the UX concept. From what we see, Lexus is charging ahead with its new design language, which means you are either excited or disgusted because Lexus stylists leave little to be neutral about.

The UX concept wears massive tires, flared fenders and an angular rear end with taillights that span the entirety of the hatch before angling upward into the rear pillars. We can surmise the front end will wear the brand’s corporate front-end styling. The design is striking—which Lexus has been pushing for a few years now.

Powertrains are up in the air. However, the luxury automaker has applied for several trademarks that may hint at what to expect. Those trademarks were UX200, UX250, and UX250h. If Lexus keeps to its naming structure, we should get a 2.0-liter four-cylinder, 2.5-liter four-cylinder and 2.5-liter hybrid engine.

We expect to have more teasers in the coming weeks. For the full report, tune in later this month once the Paris Motor Show gets kicking.
