Maserati is looking to up the ante in the sedan hyper car market, having recently revealed two beautiful four doors, each capable of hitting speeds in excess of 200 miles per hour. The Ghibli and Quattroporte are two of the most exciting sedans we’ve seen as of late.
For a long time, if you wanted performance you had to sacrifice comfort and practicability. Sure, a Ferrari hyper car could tear up the racetrack, but you couldn’t take the family on a road trip in one. Now, you’ve got options.
The Ghibli and Quattroporte are both equipped with impressive Ferrari engines. The turbo 3.8-liter V8s on board that are capable of cranking out 580 horsepower and 538-foot pounds of torque. Being a bit lighter, the Ghibli is also a touch quicker, capable of hitting 62 miles per hour in 4.2 seconds. The Quattroporte needs a bit more time, 4.5 seconds, to hit that speed.
There’s also an SUV joining Maserati’s line up: the Levante Trofeo SUV. The SUV has a slower top end speed of 188 miles per hour but can hit 62 in just 3.9 seconds.
Best of all, the Levante Trofeo, Ghibli, and Quattroporte are all highly practical vehicles. Need to drop the kids off at school? No problem, just make sure you obey the speed limit. Looking to take a road trip? There’s plenty of room to meet your needs.
And you’ll get to ride in luxury and comfort. Maserati often offers stylish and comfortable interior spaces, with these vehicles being no exception.
