A $750,000 dollar price tag is normally associated with high-end Lamborghinis or Ferraris, not Ford. No offense to the iconic automobile maker, but they’re not normally associated with near million dollar cars. But the 2020 Ford Liquid Carbon GT is shaping up to be one of the best hypercars on the market.
Like all Ford GT’s, the Liquid Carbon is an eye-catching stunner. What makes the Liquid Carbon variant truly special and exceptionally expensive, however, are the upgrades under the hood and elsewhere. There’s a new and improved Akrapovič titanium exhaust system and a stiffer suspension system that will ensure better handling at high speeds.
The EcoBoost twin-turbo 3.5-liter V-6 engine cranks out an additional 13 horsepower, 660 in total. This comes through engine calibration, an improved cooling system, higher energy ignition cores, and other tweaks.
As the name describes, the Liquid Carbon gets its own unique looks as well. If you go for the Liquid Carbon variant, you’ll enjoy exposed carbon fiber. Want a bit more color and flair? You can also opt for the Gulf Racing heritage model. It features the same upgrades as the Liquid Carbon but pays homage to the 1969 Le Mans race winning Ford GT.
Or you can save some money and purchase the standard Ford GT. However, even the entry model will set you back $500,000. Still, many hypercar enthusiasts have been deeply impressed by the Ford GT. Regardless, production is set to end for the Ford GT in 2022. So if you want one, the time is now.
