Ohio Dealership Selling 1,200-Horsepower Ford Mustang
Last year, Lebanon Ford, a Ford dealership located in Ohio, came out with its plan to offer a high-powered muscle car to all of its customers. The plan included slapping a supercharger kit from Roush onto a Mustang GT’s engine and voila, the 727-horsepower pony car that only costs $40,000 was born.
Now, Lebanon Ford is back and is offering Bugatti Veyron Super Sport power from a Mustang for an affordable price. That’s right, the dealership is offering enthusiasts a Mustang GT that generates 1,200 horsepower for just $49,995. The vehicle allows customers to get hypercar performance for less than the price of an Audi S5.
According to The Drive, the Mustang GT is called the LFP Hellion and will be offered in limited quantities. Customers have two upgrade kits to choose from, Package 1 and Package 2. Package 1 adds a twin-turbo Hellion Turbo System, a Basani cat-back exhaust system, and powerful 47-pound injectors from Ford Racing. Choosing the first package boosts power up to 600 horsepower, which is on the same level as the 2008 Dodge Viper SRT-10, for $45,499, including the price of a Mustang GT, parts, and labor.
Package 2, though, is where things get to the hypercar level. The second package adds everything the first one has, but adds 95-pound injectors, oil pump gears, new half-shafts, and a fuel pump voltage booster. With this package, the Mustang GT is capable of sending 1,200 horsepower to its poor, poor rear tires and all for less than $50,000.
With the 5.0-liter V8 running approximately 30 pounds of boost, there’s no telling how reliable the engine will be. And as Lebanon Ford’s LFP Hellion doesn’t come with any warranty, customers will be taking a risk with either package. But that’s how it usually is with customized, high-performance cars.
Those that want a Mustang that‘s insanely over powered thanks to some kind of forced induction can wait for the Shelby GT500, which is rumored to come out in the near future. But for those that want power at an affordable price, Lebanon Ford’s kit is the only thing that’s available. Now, if there was only some way to put this up against a Veyron.
