Red with Black leatherette interior, Black carpeting, 2.7 Liter Flat 6-cylinder engine with CIS fuel injection, 5-speed manual transmission, Matching Numbers, Well serviced. The first year of the “G” series body, 1974 was a major turning point in 911 development. A strengthened chassis, impact bumpers and the new “short hood” look combined with the RS’ flared fenders, wider wheels and iconic ducktail gave the Carrera a more athletic personality without detracting from the car’s famous profile. For 1975, an optional “Whaletail” rear spoiler was available replacing the previous year’s “Ducktail” as well as color coded headlamp rings replacing the chrome. Paired with the 911 S’ 175HP K-Jetronic fuel injected engine, the Carrera could achieve 0-60mph in 6.5 seconds and topped out at 142mph giving it the performance to match its racy personality. This Carrera 2.7 has previous long-term ownership in California and has been exceptionally serviced throughout. Recently, during collector ownership in Long Island, NY, the 2.7 was treated to additional full servicing with receipts totaling around $5,000. This full service included all fluids, new tires, new rear lid struts, new washer jets and pump, clock repair and radio repair with new speakers. This is well-sorted early 911 in iconic Porsche colors, delivers an outstanding driving experience with a tight feel and strong power. This Carrera includes its original books, tool kit, spare wheel, jack and service records. This Carrera can be enjoyed effortlessly and is a lot of Porsche 911 for the money. It is comfortable either around town cruising or carving up windy backroads and ready for immediate use and enjoyment.
