2021 McLaren Elva Specs and Features

2021 McLaren Elva

The 2021 McLaren Elva is offering hypercar enthusiasts an open cockpit and over 800 horsepower under the hood. You’ll certainly feel the breeze in your face as the Elva hits 60 in about 2.8 seconds. Evla, by the way, is a play on the French words “elle va,” which translates to “she goes.”

Of course, McLaren isn’t dropping windshields and a roof for nothing. The McLaren Elva is among the lighter two-seater hypercars to hit the asphalt, weighing about 2900 pounds. The Elva also uses carbon-fiber skin that’s just .05 of an inch thick at the nose. This also leaves the Elva with a sleek, sculpted look as the nose lacks panel joints.

The lack of a windshield and roof also afforded McLaren’s designers some creative space to rework the concept of the interior layout. Most cars have very distinct interior and exterior spaces. The outside is covered in sheet metal, carbon fiber, or whatever else. The interior is typically stitched up in leather, carpet, plastic, and the like. With the 2021 Elva, however, the carbon fiber works its way into the interior, creating a seamless feel. Of course, there’s still a steering wheel, LCD screens, and other necessities.

Under the hood, you’ll find a twin-turbo 4 liter V8 that roars through the titanium exhaust. 305 Pirelli P Zero Corsa rear tires along with finely tuned steering and shocks make this new McLaren for sale a nimble, not just fast, supercar. The Elva should top out at around 203 miles per hour, and it’ll offer a breath of fresh air getting there.
