The 2019 Corvette ZR1 Is the Fastest Vette Ever
The 2019 Corvette ZR1 Sets A High Bar For The Iconic Sports Car…
The all-new 2019 Corvette ZR1 is set to be the fastest Vette to ever take to the roads. Corvettes have always been fast, but the forthcoming ZR1 is set to raise the bar even further. The ZR1 is similar to the Z06 Corvette, but features a massive wing for added stability, and a tuned engine that puts out an impressive 750 horsepower.
How do you pack that many horses into an engine? Upgrading cooling system, a high performance fuel injection system, and a powerful supercharger certainly help. All of these “tweaks” allow the Corvette ZR1 to reach even faster heights. The engine, by the way, will be known as the LT5.
Given the above information, it should come as no surprise that Chevrolet has already proclaimed this Corvette ZR1 to be the most powerful Vette ever mass produced. With a top speed of over 210 miles per hour, this car is one of the fastest in the world.
Zero to 60 times haven’t been released yet. However, most industry insiders are expecting the Corvette Zr1 to be among the quickest combustion cars on the planet. The Corvette Z06 that the ZR1 is based upon can hit 60 in less than 3 seconds. Most likely, the ZR1 will shave a decent amount of time off that acceleration time.
For the first time ever, auto enthusiasts will be able to buy an automatic in a ZR1 Corvette. The 8 speed automatic transmission will be hard to beat speed wise. However, many drivers will still prefer the 7 speed manual transmission.
That high wing we mentioned? The ZTK Performance Pack available for the ZR1 will produce approximately 950 pounds of downward force. That’ll help this Corvette stay on the road when you’re pushing it. Good thing too, if not this car might end up literally flying.
