Hennessey Venom F5 is a Major Dose of Raw Power

Hennessey Venom F5

The Hennessey Venom F5 is one of the most hotly anticipated cars worldwide this year. So far, eager fans have heard little more than rumors. Horses, lots and lots of horses, as many as 1,600, in fact, along with 1300 pound-feet of torque. A top speed in excess of 300 miles per hour. But when will the world actually get to see this beast in action?

It’ll probably be a bit more before the community can conduct road tests. However, a real, live Hennessey Venom F5 may be on display at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show. If the Venom F5 does make an appearance, don’t be shocked if it steals the show.

It looks like the Hennessey Venom F5 will be powered by a 7.4-liter aluminum biturbo V8. Those 1,600 horses and 1,300 pound-feet of torque will be delivered to the rear wheels through a seven-speed single-clutch paddle-shift gearbox. It’s believed that Hennessey will also offer a six speed manual with the F5.

The interior is rumored to be quite nice and spacious. The car was designed to accommodate people up to at least 6 and a half feet tall. As for tech, Hennessey is keeping it simple with an iPad interface serving as the digital media device, front and center.

As of now, only 24 Hennessey Venom F5s are planned for production. They will be assembled at Hennessey’s Sealy, Taxas manufacturing plant. Prices will start at $1.6 million. However, with over a half million dollars worth of options available, don’t be surprised if the average selling price tops $2 million.
