Meet the James Bond DBS Superleggera 007
James Bond has long been known as a lover of beautiful women and also Aston Martins. Now, Aston Martin is honoring the James Bond franchise with the release of a special-edition, James Bond themed 2019 DBS Superleggera. The special edition model is a tribute to the 1969 DBS that first appeared “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service”.
This marks the 50th anniversary of the film’s release and fittingly, only 50 2019 DBS Superleggera 007 editions are going to be built. Of course, unlike the James Bond film Aston Martins, these ones won’t come with ejection seats, missiles, or flame throwers. Still, it’s one heck of a car.
The 2019 DBS Superleggeras 007 edition will be a fast and mean supercar. Packed with a 5.2 liter twin-turbo V12, the DBS Superleggera 007 edition will hit 100 kilometers in just 3.4 seconds. This is far, far faster than the DBS that appeared in the classic James Bond flick.
While the 2019 DBS Superleggera 007 is certainly faster than the car it pays homage to, there are some striking similarities. The exterior is coated in the same Olive Green as the original. The new model has a similar bespoke grill, and the interior features many of the same colors and accents. And while there are no weapons systems on board, there are still plenty of refined luxuries.
Each DBS Superleggera 007 edition will cost £307,007. That price is certainly far from cheap. Yet with so few models being built, it could turn into a profitable investment non-the-less.
