Meet The New Ferrari 296 GTB V6 Hybrid

Ferrari 296 GTB

Ferrari recently introduced the V-6 hybrid 296 GTB, a sort of little brother to the SF90 Stradale, and it’s a stunning car, to say the least. Between the V-6 engine and hybrid motor, the Ferrari 296 GTB offers a total of 819 horsepower. This allows the supercar to reach 60 miles per hour in less than 3 seconds with a top speed north of 200 miles per hour.

Turns out, hybrids aren’t only friendly for the environment, they’re also friendly for people looking for blazing-fast hypercars. European deliveries of the Ferrari 296 GTB are expected in the first quarter of 2022. With a starting sales price of $321,000, the 296 GTB isn’t cheap, but with many supercars these days costing more than $500,000, this Ferrari for sale isn’t crazy expensive either.

Most Ferraris also have more than six cylinders. Still, this wasn’t the first V-6 powertrain developed by Ferrari. In the late 60s and early 70s, Ferrari developed the V-6 engine that was used in the Dino 206 and Dino 246.

The Ferrari 296 GTB won’t be the first hybrid offered by Ferrari either. The SF90 Stradale also features a hybrid engine, this time mated with an 8-cylinder engine. With a price tag north of $500,00, you have to pay more for the extra performance with the SF90 Stradale.

The combined V-8 and hybrid motor found in the SF90 Stradale cranks out nearly 1,000 horsepower. This allows the Ferrari SF90 Stradale to hit 60 in less than 2.5 seconds.

Ultimately, the more supercar choices, the merrier. Both the SF90 Stradale and 296 GTB are worthy editions to Ferrari’s fantastic lineup.
