Porsche Unveils World’s First All-Electric Station Wagon
Often, if you want to drive a hypercar or supercar, you have to sacrifice practicality. And up until recent years, most performance vehicles still relied on combustion engines. As of late, however, carmakers have offered more options. Now you can pick up a Taycan GTS Sport Turismo that offers plenty of performance and also a highly practical wagon body.
Before minivans and SUVs, wagons were very popular for families. A wagon offered more room for kids and pets. Wagons have fallen a bit out of favor in recent years, especially in the United States. The new Porsche Taycan for sale, however, many get some folks to reconsider wagons.
The sleek body and top performance mean that the Taycan GTS Sport Turismo is no mere family hauler. While your family would likely find the Taycan GTS Sport Turismo quite comfortable, you’ll also enjoy the performance.
The GTS variant should crank out about 590 horsepower with its two-motor system. That’s not as much as the 750 horsepower Turbo S but this Porsche should still hit 60miles per hour in about 3.5 seconds. The GTS also comes with the larger battery found in the Turbo S, which means you should be able to get 300 miles or more in range.
Active air springs and a well-tuned braking system should offer a comfortable ride as well. The Taycan GTS Sport Turismo wagon variant is expected to start at about $135,000 and should reach dealer showrooms mid year 2022.
