2019 McLaren 600LT Specs and Features

McLaren 600LT

Looking for an affordable racetrack ready hyper car? You’re not likely to find one. But if you’ve got $240,000 laying around, you can pick up a very nicely spec’d McLaren 600LT.

The company even throws free driver’s training in when you purchase a 600LT. That’s because this particular McLaren isn’t meant for everyday normal driving. It’s a racetrack ready high performance machine that’s more than capable of carving up the asphalt.

The 600LT picks up where the F1 Longtail and 675LT left off, offering improved aerodynamics and a more powerful engine.

The 600LT can hit sixty in just 2.9 seconds and tops out at 204 miles per hour. Powered by a 3.8L V8 cranking out 592 horse power and 457 ft ib torque, the 600LT can keep up with the vast majority of hypercars on the road.

At first glance the 600LT looks a lot like other McLarens, such as the 570s. However, as you look more closely, you’ll notice many subtle differences.

The new carbon fiber diffuser, for example, extends farther up the nose. Meanwhile, the fenders feature small outlets towards the doors. These refinements may seem minor but they offer aerodynamic improvements.

Meanwhile, the back end offers a more stark break from other McLarens. The fixed wing and large diffuser, complete with vertical blades, make this hypercar all the more track ready.

Combined, all the carbon fiber parts create an additional 100 KG of downward force at 155 miles per hour. They also help the car trim its weight, which is down to just 2749 pounds.

In other words, $240,000 might not be cheap for a car, but with the McLaren 600LT you’re still getting a good deal.
