Bugatti Veyron “World Record Car” Up For Sale
H.R. Owen is the sole authorized Bugatti dealership in Great Brittain. In addition to Bugatti their showroom space is shared with Aston Martin, Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Maserati, Lamborghini, and Ferrari. While marquee royalty abounds, a new king of the castle is returning home.
H.R. Owen recently welcomed an old friend back into the garage of their London based Jack Barclay of Berkley Square showroom. It won’t be a long visit though because a Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse WRC that they sold new in 2013 has come back for resale, and should find a new home in quick order.
The Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse WRC (World Record Car) Edition was produced as a limited edition of the Grand Sport Vitesse and restricted to only eight units built. The regular Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse only had 450 made during its years of production.
During its 2013 debut, the supercar sold for $2.2 million. The resale price of the Bugatti will be $2.6 million.
It has the braggadocios “World Record Car” name for good reason. The Grand Sport Vitesse WRC Edition took the title as the world’s fastest open top roadster designation after visiting a top speed of 254.04mph.
The supercar has had only one owner since its 2013 acquisition. The Bugatti features only 1,130 road miles.
The WRC like the regular Grand Sport Vitesse is powered by an awe-inspiring 1,184 horsepower version of the Veyron’s quad turbocharged 8.0 liter W-16 engine. The car can go 0-62 in just 2.6 seconds.
The body paint is Bugatti orange on a visible black carbon motif. The orange color is carried through on the front wings, rims, grille surround and rear wing underside as well as the interior.

This is a fantastic example of an iconic car, which has been meticulously cared for in its life so far. It will make for a wonderful investment for collectors and enthusiast alike.”
More excitement will be coming to H.R.Owen this spring when the dealership unveils the new version of the Veyron. The Bugatti Chiron will top its cousin with a blazing 1,500hp that will vault the car to an estimated top speed of 288mph.
